Neanderthal Mania!

The heat! It is melting me! And I've been looking forward to summer all year, I'm not allowed to complain now that it is (already) here.

It would not be so bad if I were nearer to the beach, then I would swim every day. Perhaps I should rent a place on the coast for the summer, that would be lovely, and work at a supermarket there to pay for it. I could do that! Except I won't, because it's far too much hassle and I have things to do here.

My icon is making me hot.

I need to write more.

Um.

Nothing to write. HALLOWEEN PARTY anyone with a possible venue, let it be known! For we have no place to have one if we are indeed having one, which I certainly hope we are.

Need to catch up with folks more often. I'm happy and not miserable these days! I'm a lot better company than I have been in recent months! You should want to hang around with me! *hinthintnudgenudge* But I know it's that time of year when exams are coming up, and so I will not pressure you all into spending time with glorious me. (Not that I should have to pressure you, I'm wonderful, it should be a joy to see me!) .... I'll shut up now ^___________________________^

Giant happy smiley face. I'd be grinning like that if it weren't so frigging hot!!

*pants* Water for the win! Except there's not enough of it. WE NEED MORE!!! I reckon we should get some sort of glacier and dump it somewhere on top of a mountain and then let it melt and give us nice clean antarctic-style water. Because antarctic style water is much better than middle-of-a-drought water. It's... wetter... or something

Yay for secret characters! Even if I fail at their histories. And yeah, I'm no good at secrets, so don't expect me to keep it for long.

Right, everyone hushed? It's.... no, I'm not allowed to say. Julia knows, but that's because Julia's special, and no-one else cares XDDD poor Julia has to put up with my DF rambling *pets the Julia* You're very patient with me! Even though it must be a hard task!

Ramble ramble ramble.

MOG! There are new Brambly Hedge stories. Brambly Hedge is this ---> http://www.bramblyhedge.co.uk/ and I used to *LOVE* the stories as a wee little thing. And ok, they're not new, but they're new to me, 'Sea Story' and 'Poppy's Babies' and I think there are others, but I don't know what they are. Anyway, yes, I loved Brambly Hedge as an ickle thing, and I still do, because I'm just a giant kid.

Not much else to say, I'll be off then. Ciao!

Love

(no subject)

It's freezing-o'clock. I'm soooo cold. Actually, it's not all that early. 10.30 just feels like 6am.

No Oscar, letting me pat you quickly on the head does not mean I will let you out. Nor will looking up at me cutely and miaowing pitifully. But by god, clawing at the dress hanging on my door certainly will! Bastard! And instead of letting you out to 'play' with Koko, I will take her in here instead. Ha. Serve you right.

Anyway, dream log.

Weather? Tried but true

Oh! What a shit of a night! But only because of the heat *sweats* It really is the best time of year to work in a supermarket, but even in there, it was hot. And then came the thunder and the lightning, and our power went off! But before you could say 'Go! go! generator power!' It was back on. But those precious seconds of dark and silence were wonderful...

And then came the customers.

Because it was so hot today, people were staying put. Not many people were going to the shops. But as soon as the rain started, they all came into Safeway like spiders go inside in the rain. It was terrible. And it was late at night too, which means that we don't really have a lot of staff on registers. In fact, from 10pm onwards, it was only me and Joyce, the lovely american woman. So yeah, Karene left at 10, and yeah, then all the customers decide to leave at once, so we have me in express, putting small trolley loads through, because we had no choice, and Joyce on register five, with at least six trolleys queued up, waiting to go through.. GAraahg! I don't like these sorts of nights! Why do customers always seem to have a timer on them? They all gravitate to the registers just as some staff are closing up.. always! If you have three people leaving, then 80% of the customers will decide that that is the time they want to pay for their groceries.

I'm going to stop here, because I'm just ranting about work, and I don't really think anyone is interested in listening/reading it. So...

Er, how was your day? I have nothing else to talk about besides work. I had a nice morning at home today, mum dad and ellie went to the beach, and I had the house to myself, since Alistair couldn't be found.

Tomorrow is meant to be 43.

Kill me now. Please.
